In the summer of 2000, Someguy, a San Francisco artist, released 1,000 blank books into the world with these instructions: “This is an experiment and you are part of it. Add anything you like, then pass it on." The documentary film, “1000 Journals,” is featured in the Newport Beach Film Festival April 24 - May 1. Producer, writer, director Andrea Kreuzhage, who shot this film on all of the continents, shares the worldwide journeys of these blank books across borders and personal, political, societal, and cultural barriers. She chronicles the self-governed collaboration of thousand of random people who have added to this “message in a bottle,” revealing the beauty and power of the filled pages. www.1000journalsfilm.com

The first-time guest fee is $25. Returning guests pay $35 if registered by Monday prior to event. After Monday, the price rises to $40.
You can purchase a Discovery Membership if you have never belonged to the Inside Edge. For $80, you can attend the next four meetings. This does not apply for the four Wednesdays a year in which we are dark. |
